LAPO Builds Clients Financial Skills

LAPO is currently equipping clients of LAPO Microfinance Bank across the country with the knowledge and skills to successfully manage their various business undertakings.

The 12-month Business Management Training programme is being implemented in recognition of the fact that low financial literacy level often results in poor financial choices with negative consequences on the financial well-being of micro businesses.

According to the project coordinator, Mrs Philomena Elijah, the training is expected to stenghten client capacity to develop long-term vision for their businesses, maintain good customer relations, make future plans, keep appropriate book of accounts and manage financial records amongst other. Knowledge will be transferred through lectures, practicals and experience sharing.

The training session commenced with Mid-West Zone in Benin City, Edo state with 12 experienced facilitators.
