LAPO Canvasses Equal Opportunity For Women

Lift Above Poverty Organisation (LAPO) has enjoined parents to shun all forms of discrimination against women, especially in the area of girl-child education.

Speaking at the 2016 International Women’s Day celebration in Abuja, the Regional Officer, Mr. Basil Ugbuagu said there is an urgent need to address the marginalization of women in all facets of our national life.

Presenting a paper on Advancing gender equality and women empowerment at the event, the Executive Director of Good Governance, Transparency and Accountability Network (GGTAN), Mr. Gideon Nwaogu advised Nigerians do away with distorted and prejudicial notion about women.
