LAPO Empowers 586,213 Women With Social, Health Services

Lift Above Poverty Organization (LAPO) empowered 586,213 women and other vulnerable population across the country with health and social services in year 2015.

The Executive Director, Sabina Idowu-Osehobo stated this while reviewing the activities and impact of the organization on target beneficiaries, noting that poverty is not just about the lack of funds but more fundamentally an issue of social exclusion and lack of access to life transforming opportunities.

She enumerated ill-health, poor nutrition, discrimination, low self esteem, ignorance, social exclusion and gender inequity among social issues being addressed by LAPO to address the non-credit causes and manifestations of poverty in the society.
