LAPO Screens 162,519 Women For Common Diseases

Lift Above Poverty Organization (LAPO) screened 162,519 women and clients of LAPO MfB for common diseases in year 2015 towards promoting early detection and management of common diseases.

The beneficiaries were screened for HIV/AIDS, malaria, blood pressure, blood sugar and hepatitis in programme locations nationwide, according to LAPO Executive Director, Sabina Idowu-Osehobo.

She said the routine screening have improved community health consciousness with significant reduction in drug misuse among beneficiaries, adding that those with severe conditions are usually referred to government-approved facilities.
