Jonathan to speak at Lift Above Poverty event in Abuja

 

Prof Adeleye, Dr Ehanire, others to speak on health and poverty

Former president, Goodluck Jonathan, who just bagged global status as a world diplomat and peace ambassador, will make a rare presence in Abuja to speak to Nigerians on fighting poverty through health schemes.

The Lift Above Poverty Organization (LAPO), in partnership with the Federal Ministry of Health is set to host the 28th edition of the Annual LAPO Development Forum on Tuesday, October 26, 2021.

The event with the theme ‘Promoting Community-Based Cancer Control Programme in Nigeria: The LAPO-C4 Initiative’ will be hosted at the Yar’Adua International Conference Centre, Abuja under the distinguished chairmanship of His Excellency, former President GoodluckEbele Jonathan, GCFR.

Other dignitaries confirmed to speak at the Annual Development Forum include the Honourable Minister of Health, Dr. OsagieEhanire,former Edo State DeputyGovernor and Chief of Staff to the President, ChiefMike Oghiadomhe, the Chief Executive Officer of LAPO, Dr Godwin Ehigiamusoewhile Prof OmokhoaAdeleye, Professor of Public Health and Community Medicine at the University of Benin will deliver the keynote lecture.
