LAPO Trains Community Members On Healthy Living Practices
Lift Above Poverty Organization (LAPO) improved the health of over 1.6 million community members through awareness, sensitization, interventions and health outreaches between January and April of 2021.
In a statement, the Executive Director, Dr. Honestus Obadiora noted that 28,419 persons were reached with direct programme intervention in target communities while 17,462 community members were enlightened with information, education and enlightenment messages.
The beneficiaries were trained on maternal and child health practices, nutrition, family planning and antenatal care, water, sanitation and hygienic practices in target communities in Edo, Lagos, and Abuja.
Many of the community members are now living improved and healthier lives as a result of the health sensitization.
