NAWOJ Seeks LAPO Partnership
The Nigerian Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Edo State Chapter, has commended the Lift Above Poverty Organisation (LAPO) for promoting the cause of women and the vulnerable in the society with her microcredit, health and social empowerment programmes.
Chairperson, Comrade Adesuwa Ehimuan who stated this during a courtesy call on the management of LAPO, sought partnership with the organization in women empowerment.
Responding, LAPO Executive Director, Dr Honestus Ayobami Obadiora recognized the pivotal role of journalists in championing human rights and pledged the continuous support of LAPO to the progress of the body.
He emphasized the organization’s commitment to building the capacity of women and addressing entrenched socio-economic injustice against women in the society.
