To support our development programme in Nigeria, Lift Above Poverty Organisation (LAPO) is searching for an experienced Resource Mobilization/Proposal Development Specialist to deliver growth in our funding pipeline by leading the collaborative process of developing compelling funding opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop funding strategies, monitor upcoming funding opportunities to allow for sufficient lead time to plan for large, collaborative proposals.
- Develop proposal development strategy for kick off, including the proposal development calendar; mapping; organise and lead kick-off and other preparatory meetings.
- Develop high-impact, fundable proposal concepts, including work plans, budgets, results frameworks and ensure high quality assurance/control capable of securing grant awards with winning proposals every year.
- Facilitate regular review and checkpoint sessions with the Proposal Development Team to ensure high quality and compliance with donor deadlines, requirements, and expectations.
- Formalize agreements with partner/resource organizations and maintain electronic files and archives of all proposal work, photos and images.
- Work on new business development pre-positioning activities along with Programme and Business development staff.
Essential Qualifications & Skills
- BA/B.Sc/HND in Social Sciences, International Development or related field
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in proposal writing
- Excellent technical skills in writing, editing, formatting, research, negotiation, and verbal communications;
- Ability to utilize InDesign to layout proposal document in appropriate brand standardized templates.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, Google platform, Adobe, Dropbox and other online collaboration tools
- Competence in using MS software, including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- Experience in program design approaches and methodologies, such as results framework, theories of change, logic modeling, and logical framework;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills and ability to work remotely.

Job Description:
We are looking for a Credit Officer to facilitate lending for our clients by assessing creditworthiness and processing relevant paperwork. Credit Officer Responsibilities include preparing loan applications, evaluating clients’ financial information and calculating risk ratios. To be successful in this role, you should have a good understanding of lending procedures and customer service experience. Ultimately, you will help our clients acquire loans in a timely manner and ensuring that the loan is being repaid as at when due while ensuring we comply with the law.
Function /Responsibilities:
- Review loan requests
- Assess clients’ financial status
- Evaluate creditworthiness and risks
- Contact clients to gather financial data and documentation
- Analyze risks and approve or reject loan requests
- Calculate financial ratios (e.g. credit scores and interest rates)
- Set up payment plans
- Maintain updated records of loan applications
- Follow up with clients about loan renewals
- Monitor progress of existing loans.
