Integration of Microcredit, Social Service Project: 5,847 Clients Empowered

The Integration of Microcredit and Social Service project is aimed at improving the health conditions of clients of LAPO Microfinance Bank through routine healthy sensitisation and screening for tropical diseases. The rationale is that poverty is further reinforced by poor health or vice versa.

In June 2023, 5,847 microcredit clients were educated on maternal and child health during pregnancy and delivery, family planning and child spacing issues. The beneficiaries were equally screened for HIV, Hepatitis B, Malaria and Blood Sugar.
