LAPO Empowers 675,115 Community Members with Health Training in Q1 2024
Benin City, Nigeria – Lift Above Poverty Organization (LAPO), a non-governmental organization dedicated to improving the lives of marginalized communities successfully empowered 675,115 community members across Nigeria with health training in the first quarter of 2024.
The health training programme, which was conducted for community members and clients of the LAPO Microfinance Bank clients in Edo, Kogi, Enugu, Rivers, Zamfara, Enugu, Lagos, and Abuja, aimed to educate the beneficiaries on the importance of healthy living, disease prevention, and regular medical check-ups.
The programme covered topics such as nutrition, hygiene, and disease management, and provided participants with the knowledge and skills needed to take charge of their health.
Dr. Honestus Ayo Obadiora, Executive Director of LAPO, commended the beneficiaries for their enthusiasm and commitment to the programme.
